Poly material is made out of recycled plastic and petroleum-based products. It does not rot and is low maintenance. The Poly Beaver Dam uses is from Tangent Materials.
- How heavy is Beaver Dam furniture?
The weight of each chair varies based on the size and shape, but they average between 35 and 50 pounds each. All Beaver Dam furniture is built to withstand the harshest weather—each piece can be easily moved by one or two people. Yet it's heavy-duty and durable enough so you won't have to worry about your furniture blowing away in strong winds.
- What is the weight capacity of Beaver Dam furniture?
Beaver Dam chairs are weight tested up to 300 pounds per seat, although many products can withstand much more.
- Can I keep my Beaver Dam furniture out all year round?
Yes, our Tangent materials are extensively tested to the extremes, guaranteeing peak performance in a range of weather conditions—including hot sun, rain storms, snowy winters, salt spray, and heavy winds. Covers are not required for poly furniture. However, covering your furniture will make seasonal cleaning easier.
- Does your poly material contain wood or natural fibers?
No, Tangent poly lumber is made from high-density recycled polyethylene (HDPE) and does not contain wood or any natural fiber. Other brands or cheaper alternatives may use a composite poly which can contain up to 49% natural fibers resulting in a significantly reduced lifespan.
